Join PLEA Community Services as a Temporary Youth Development Worker in the Fraser Valley and Vancouver areas. This dynamic full-time position is vital for providing essential support and resources to at-risk youth.

In this float position with PLEA, you'll work directly with Maple Ridge and Port Coquitlam's youth populations, focusing on emotional and practical assistance.

Your role includes developing collaborative relationships with families and implementing targeted strategies to enhance youth's personal and community skills, all geared towards fostering a positive development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build supportive relationships and provide guidance

• Implement tailored strategies across youth’s domains

• Monitor and support compliance to Youth Court Orders

• Ensure access to necessary community resources

• Assist youth in mastering life skills for independence

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities

• Experience with high-risk youth and social realities

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices

• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks

• Valid First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
