Position: Youth Coordinator for Recreation Services
Help shape the future of youth in New Westminster as the Youth Coordinator for Recreation Services. This role allows for creativity and independence in designing engaging community activities for young residents.

Joining the City of New Westminster, you will coordinate youth services by planning and supervising recreational programs that meet local youth needs. Your responsibilities include managing a team, engaging with community partners, and ensuring effective public relations for these initiatives. A strong foundation in community development and youth care is crucial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver recreational programs for youth

• Supervise staff and evaluate their performance

• Collaborate with local organizations and youth groups

• Manage budgets and ensure program accountability

• Promote youth services through effective community outreach

Requirements:

• Related degree in Child and Youth Care or significant experience

• Class 5 BC Driver’s License is mandatory

• Standard First Aid and CPR Level certification needed

• Clear Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
