As part of the ICY team, you will manage a caseload of children and youth, delivering key mental health support and liaising with school staff. The position involves recruitment and supervision of Youth Peer Support Workers while ensuring compliance with collective agreements. Your expertise will enhance prevention efforts and early intervention strategies, contributing to community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide therapeutic counselling for children and families
• Manage recruitment and training of Youth Peer Support Workers
• Monitor progress on assigned cases and provide feedback
• Facilitate workshops and lead counselling groups
• Collaborate with school and district counsellors
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Psychology or related field
• Registered Clinical Counsellor status (BCACC)
• 3-5 years' experience in clinical counselling
• Skills in crisis intervention and community liaison
• Proven track record in mental health initiatives
Expertise in therapeutic counselling and youth support is essential for effectively serving Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows communities.
