Join Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services as a part-time Prevention and Support Worker for Alisa’s Wish Child & Youth Advocacy Centre. Focus on prevention initiatives to enhance child safety and resilience.

This temporary part-time role centers on educating youth, parents, and caregivers while implementing the goals of the Child Advocacy Centre. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility for evening and weekend shifts, ensuring community engagement and support for youth populations. Experience in presenting to victim services or youth-based entities is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement goals of the Child Advocacy Centre

• Facilitate community presentations and workshops

• Maintain community connections through meetings

• Support Youth Advisory Committee initiatives

• Take on backup support roles for Advocates

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in human services or related field

• One year of experience working with victim populations

• Training in Trauma-Informed Practice

• Clear Criminal Record Check and First Aid certification

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
