Indigenous Social Worker

Position: Fraser Health Indigenous Social Worker Opportunity
Explore part-time employment as an Indigenous Social Worker with Fraser Health in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, B.C. Provide essential mental health support to Indigenous clients using cultural competence.

As a member of an interprofessional team, this role requires a minimum of two years of relevant social work experience, including engagement with Indigenous communities. You'll work on clinical assessments, develop tailored care plans, and foster communication between clients and providers. Your advocacy and teaching skills will greatly benefit client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed assessments of client needs

• Implement and monitor recovery-oriented care plans

• Support clients during critical transitions

• Provide needed referrals to community services

• Advocate for clients' rights and resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

• Two years of experience in a mental health setting

• Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and health perspectives

• Valid BC Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
