Beginning September 8, 2026, this part-time position (29 hours per week) emphasizes collaboration with school teams and families to foster student growth. The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience working with Indigenous cultures and children, applying trauma-informed practices to improve social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting relationships with students and families
• Collaborate on individual and group support programs
• Assist with individual education plans and positive behaviour strategies
• Monitor and report on student attendance and engagement
• Plan school-wide activities promoting emotional well-being
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion and Child/Youth Care Worker Diploma
• Six months’ experience with at-risk students
• Proven teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to manage crisis situations
• Valid B.C. driver’s license
Support Indigenous youth development by fostering trust and positive behavior in this collaborative role.
