Youth Support Worker at Taproot

We are hiring for casual/on-call Youth Support Workers, with future part-time and full-time roles available. Your work will involve developing Individual Support Plans and supporting healthy development through community activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in de-escalation techniques, behavioral support, and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently guide clients through their Individual Support Plans

• Supervise and support emotional and social development

• Employ de-escalation strategies for complex behaviors

• Assist clients with household chores and life skills

• Model healthy relationships and establish boundaries

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in relevant field, e.g., Child and Youth Care

• At least 1 year experience with children or youth

• Valid BC Driver’s Class 5 License

• Training in CPR/First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention

• Commitment to MCFD screening and providing references
