Position: Family Support Worker for PLEA Services
Become a key player at PLEA Community Services as a Temporary Full-Time Family Support Worker located in Maple Ridge, BC. This role is centered on providing vital support to those with neurodevelopmental challenges.

In the position of Family Support Worker, you will assess the needs and risks of participants related to neurodevelopmental issues. By applying your teaching and communication skills, you'll provide guidance, develop service plans, and conduct educational sessions on essential topics like FASD. Your work with families will be crucial in fostering supportive environments and addressing individual challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments through observations and interviews

• Create intervention strategies based on participant needs

• Facilitate group sessions on neurodevelopmental topics

• Maintain accurate records and reports for participants

• Collaborate with other service providers as needed

Requirements:

• Diploma in a related human/social service field required

• Experience particularly regarding FASD or similar issues

• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships

• Access to a personal vehicle for travel in designated areas

• Criminal Record Clearance is mandatory
