ABOUT

THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to Job Sites within the Medicine Hat Area, homeowner and industry clients. In this role as a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a high-level delivery and product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.

Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography. Always own the satisfaction of these customers.

Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery. Maintain a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience for Amrize customers.

Able to navigate around the city of Medicine Hat and surrounding areas, to maintain on-time deliveries.

Maintain strong working relationships with logistics, and operations teams as well as fellow operators.

Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well be available weekends and/or evenings.

Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and be courteous on the road.

Able to perform operation of electronic devices (Tablets, GPS, etc...)

Amrize Ready Mix Training Program provided.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/

Certifications:

Need to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q - 5-year drivers abstract REQUIRED to be sent in with your resume.
Required

Work Experience:

Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience. Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, is an asset.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to drive a manual shift truck transmission (not the same as a car)

Construction and off-road experience is an asset

Knowledge of the city of Medicine Hat

Strong English written and verbal communication skills

Ability to perform tasks on electronic devices such as Tablets

Relationship-building (External customers and internal Amrize personnel)

Problem solving and decision making

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Strong sense of teamwork

Be able to lift  50lbs.
