Warehouse Worker

We are seeking an Order Picker / Warehouse Worker to support the ATS / Lateral Systems area. This role involves picking threaded rod and related components for customer orders. The position is specialized due to handling long, awkward, slippery rod material and requires operating a stand-up Crown forklift in tight racking and aisle areas.

• Operate a stand-up Crown forklift/order picker to pick and move threaded rods by order, including various sizes, lengths, finishes, and strength types.
• Hand-pick individual rods when necessary.
• Open bundles, count pieces, and replenish or pull from bins.
• Utilize leverage and safe handling techniques for awkward rods.
• Wrap and secure picked materials onto skids.
• Pick related ATS components as needed.
• Take photos of completed rods/components using an iPad and attach them to the order/smartsheet for order verification.
• Support general warehouse picking during slower ATS periods.
• Assist with inventory count during inventory periods.

• 2 years of Forklift experience on Crown Order Picker Forklift.
• Forklift certification - Class 2 / Electric.
• 2 years of experience in order picking.
• Proficiency in English communication (comprehension, spoken, written).
• Experience using an RF scanner.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• SAP experience is a plus.
• Experience in similar environments such as rebar, steel, lumber.
• Willingness to learn ERP/SAP systems.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Patience and teamwork skills.

Work in a large, clean, organized warehouse/manufacturing distribution environment that is active, noisy, and fast-paced. The ATS rod area stores long materials in racks and on pallets, requiring skilled forklift operation due to long rods and tight spaces. The job may be challenging, but the rod products are expected to change to shorter lengths, making the work easier within six months.

Gloves are required, and candidates should be comfortable handling dirty materials, hand-wrapping, bending, pulling, and managing metal rods. The shift is from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility to 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Dress code includes jeans and a tee shirt or sweater; PPE is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
