Job Overview
Entry-level sales and store driver positions at Advance Auto Parts. Candidates support DIY retail sales, store operations, and parts delivery while maintaining safety and inventory standards. Roles may be part‑time or full‑time and require fleet safety certification.
Primary Responsibilities – Salesperson- Provide excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
- Offer DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper blade installs.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Perform inventory processes including truck putaway, shop-outs, cycle counts, and back stock management.
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facings, dusting, parking lot).
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Safely deliver parts to commercial customers.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Handle returns, cores, and drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
- Collect daily credit accounts.
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facings, dusting, parking lot).
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
- Basic driving and navigation skills.
- Proficiency with delivery board system.
- Friendly communication and customer focus.
- Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
- Safety knowledge and adherence to procedures.
- Operational skills for inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- POS and parts lookup system proficiency.
- Expertise in diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
Job Skills – Salesperson
- Fluent in English;
Spanish a plus. - Strong reading and document interpretation skills.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Availability to work assorted days, evenings, and weekends.

Salesperson: 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment with a focus on customer experience.
Store Driver: Automotive parts experience preferred; valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWork requires walking or standing for the majority of the shift. Employees must lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Work is performed indoors with intermittent exposure to outdoor weather and moving mechanical parts. Tasks include handling tools and operating mechanical equipment with moderate noise levels.
Compensation RangeGood faith estimate: $15.95‑$16.95 per hour, depending on experience, location, and shift differentials.
