Behavior Specialist

As a Behavior Specialist, you’ll support children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You’ll deliver personalized plans in homes, centers, or community settings, bringing energy, compassion, and structure to each session.
Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct scheduled sessions; honor time-off policies and parent communication.
- Provide subbing sessions on Saturdays and within availability when families cancel.
- Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans directed by the Clinical Director and team.
- Travel to centers, homes, and community settings to deliver services.
- Address schedule changes, cancellations, and documentation promptly.
- Maintain daily Treatment Session Notes, Treatment Target Data, and Behavior Data.
- Keep updated with site-related documents and current clinical reports.
- Stay current on new research, trends, and developments in special education.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Flexible availability: high demand Monday–Thursday 3–8 pm and Saturday.
- Complete new hire training (online and in person).
- Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – California mandated).
- Reliable transportation required.
- Sensitive to diverse populations.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Good judgment, decision-making, confidentiality, discretion.
- Understand policies, procedures, regulations.
- Computer/word processing proficiency.
- Visual stimulation: close, distance, reading, computer work.
- Constant sitting; frequent standing.
- Telephone usage: speaking, listening.
- Document handling, copier, fax, filing.
- Typing, computer use.
- Occasional walking, bending, reaching, stooping, pulling.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lb.
