Medical Assistant I – $6,000 Sign‑On Incentive (Req 2025‑1363)

Valley Medical Center – Lake Sawyer Primary Care, Maple Valley, WA. Full‑time, 8:45 am‑5:15 pm. 1 FTE.

Salary: $29.32–$44.39 per hour, DOE. Sign‑on bonus of $6,000.

Job Overview

Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to the clinic team, ensuring efficient patient flow and quality of care while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient intake, vital signs, and procedural preparations.
  • Conduct venous/capillary blood collection, perform injections, administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
  • Carry out laboratory tests and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Coordinate appointments, reminders, and recalls, and update patient records.
  • Maintain examination rooms and supplies; perform infection control and quality assurance tasks.
  • Manage messaging and orders workflow, liaise between providers, medical records, and patients.
  • Support billing, ancillary charges, and submittal processes.
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant with valid state testing.
  • 1 year of experience preferred (minimum for OBGYN clinic may be 2 years).
  • Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Providers.
  • Strong computer skills, EMR navigation, and an ability to use multiple applications.
  • Excellent communication, customer‑service, and cultural‑diversity awareness.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment.
Legal & Compliance
  • Act within legal and ethical boundaries; document patient communication accurately.
  • Maintain patient records; comply with State, Federal, and regulatory agencies.
  • Follow scope of practice limits and adhere to directives from healthcare practitioners.
