Technical Operations Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Hobart, Washington, United States
Schedule: Part-time. 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Three days per week.
Pay: Starting at Washington State minimum wage.
Benefits: Other benefits may be available based on experience and fit.
Position OverviewWe are a small aerospace machine shop seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Assistant to support both administrative and shop-facing functions. This role supports order processing, production documentation, and basic quality checks in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Enter and maintain work orders, customer information, and production records
- Support order fulfillment including job travelers, documentation, and delivery tracking
- Perform basic quality and documentation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with shop personnel to support production flow and schedule visibility
- Maintain organized records and controlled documents
- Provide general administrative support including phones and customer communications as needed
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information and materials
- Employment is contingent upon compliance with applicable export control, customer, and aerospace requirements
- Must be able to pass any required background check
- Must comply with company drug-free workplace policies
- Prior experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or machine shop environment
- Familiarity with production documentation, job travelers, or quality records
This position is on site at our Issaquah, Washington facility and involves exposure to controlled documentation, production records, and interaction with shop personnel.
