Recreation Aide View Lodge

Make a meaningful impact as a Recreation Aide at Maple View Lodge in Athens, Ontario. This full-time role focuses on implementing engaging recreational programs for residents, enhancing their well-being.

At Maple View Lodge, the Recreation Aide works under the guidance of the Resident Services Supervisor. You will develop and facilitate recreational activities that improve the physical, social, and emotional health of residents in a loving and energetic environment. Your past experience in long-term care and knowledge of recreational programming will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate diverse recreational activities

• Perform required recreational assessments for residents

• Collaborate with the care team to communicate program details

• Document resident attendance and participation

• Maintain recreational equipment to ensure safety

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in recreation or a related field

• Two years of experience in long-term care

• CPR and First Aid Certification

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
