Math Teacher, Secondary

Discovery Ranch, a residential treatment center for boys ages 13-18, is seeking a dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our team. As a Math Teacher at Discovery Ranch, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students by providing them with a quality education in a therapeutic environment. • Teach secondary math classes, including Algebra, Geometry, and other basic/advanced math, to students in grades 7-12
• Design and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of our students
• Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students
• Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement an integrated curriculum
• Provide individualized support and instruction to students who may be struggling academically
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success and well-being

Part-time | 2-3 nights a week | 3-8:30 pm | $19-22/hour DOE

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field
• Valid Utah teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics
• Previous experience teaching secondary math
• Knowledge of current teaching strategies and best practices in mathematics education
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Ability to effectively communicate complex mathematical concepts in a clear and understandable way
• Passion for working with adolescent students and a commitment to their academic and personal growth
