LAB Technician

Overview

Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech 1 with a well-known industry leader in Maplewood, MN. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This is a first shift position.

• Support new product development by following defined procedures
• Product testing and evaluation of abrasive products
• Documenting and transfer of collected data and test results
• Acquiring and preparing test samples and substrates
• Assisting engineers in test development
• Running robotic and automated test equipment

Note:

Estimated duration up to 24 months.

• Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on experience with tools, equipment, or related creative arts.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Computer literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently with direction and within a team
• Robot/CNC programming skills or interest is preferred
• BS Degree is preferred

Pay Rate: $ per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
