• Run chemical-mechanical planarization equipment.
• Assemble silicon wafers and abrasive pads for testing.
• Perform material properties analysis including DMA, hardness, eddy current, and other techniques.
• Analyze samples by confocal laser scanning microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
• Support analysis with optical interferometry.
• Handle general lab maintenance duties.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate instruments.
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation on all laboratory work.

• Associate’s degree or higher (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field (preferred).
• Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently after training.
• Good organizational skills, record keeping, and follow‑through.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remaining standing for long periods while conducting tests, working around strong smells, and wearing personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).
