- Run chemical-mechanical planarization equipment.
- Assemble silicon wafers and abrasive pads for testing.
- Perform material properties analysis including DMA, hardness, eddy current, and other techniques.
- Analyze samples by confocal laser scanning microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- Support analysis with optical interferometry.
- Handle general lab maintenance duties.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate instruments.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation on all laboratory work.
- Associate’s degree or higher (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field (preferred).
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently after training.
- Good organizational skills, record keeping, and follow‑through.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remaining standing for long periods while conducting tests, working around strong smells, and wearing personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).
