Entry Level Physical Properties Technician 2nd shift
Join our mission to continuously move science forward and help us improve the health and safety of communities. This role supports research and development laboratories by preparing, analyzing, and reviewing data for various material properties testing.
ShiftMonday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM.
What You’ll Do- Run chemical‑mechanical planarization equipment.
- Assemble silicon wafers and abrasive pads for testing.
- Analyze material properties including DMA, hardness, eddy current, etc.
- Analyze samples by confocal laser scanning microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- Analyze samples by supporting techniques including optical interferometry.
- Perform general lab maintenance duties.
- Clean, maintain and calibrate instruments.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation on all laboratory work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Strong time‑management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase.
- Good organizational skills, record‑keeping, and follow‑through.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by email.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform work in a lab setting, remain standing for long periods, work around strong smells, and wear PPE while handling samples.
$22.00 per hour.
