Description:
This candidate will be responsible for performing quality testing and analytics and to support biopharmaceutical filtration devices for manufacturing facilities. These analyses include total nitrogen, protein quantification, dynamic binding capacity and more. In addition, the candidate may be supporting the development of new applications of current filtration products.
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Complete quality testing and documentation for the release of manufactured products.
- General laboratory activities and instrumentation including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances
- Characterize filtration media following documented SOPs and established test methods such as filter binding capacity, total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), charge capacity and microbial retention
- Complete a variety of bioassays including ELISAs, qPCR/ddPCR, etc.
- Potentially assist with the development of new applications for existing products using all previously described tests
- May work with microbial and bacteriophage samples and challenges
- Possibly support all stages of the mammalian cell culture process including maintenance, transfection, etc. at flask and bioreactor levels
- General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance
Requirements:
- B.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related science
- Strong communication and documentation skills required.
- Understanding quality testing and GMP a plus.
- Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven
