Teacher of Art (Photography) 1.0 FTE - COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL AVAILABLE JANUARY 2027 The Position

The primary goal of the position is to teach visual art to students, grades 9-12

QUALIFICATIONS

New Jersey Teacher of Art Certificate required.
Mastery of technical skills related to operating film and digital cameras.
Experience teaching AP Art History and other high-level art honors courses.
Experience working in Black and White Darkrooms.
Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Experience printing with pigment inkjet printers and color profiles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status

Starting Salary Range:

Bachelor's Degree: $70,
Master's Degree: $77,450 - $109,865
Master's + 30 Credits: $81,565 - $115,450
Doctorate: $84,565 - $118,450

JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE TEACHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility.

Teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Demonstrated knowledge in subject area.

Familiarity with use of technology as instructional tool.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required criminal history background check

Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

JOB GOAL(S)

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
