What You Will Do:Are you ready to be part of a team that powers communities and supports innovation? Trico Electric Cooperative is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Dispatch team in Marana, Arizona.
The Distribution Dispatcher plays a critical role in monitoring and supporting Trico’s electrical system operations. Using tools such as the Outage Management System (OMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Customer Information System (CIS), this position ensures real-time system awareness, coordinates outage response, and facilitates system switching. The Dispatcher provides essential support to the System Control team, contributing to operational reliability, member communication, and data reporting.
This is a 12-hour shift position, with rotations occurring every 5 weeks. Overnight and weekend shifts are required, ensuring 24/7 coverage of Trico’s distribution system.
What You Bring to Trico:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s or Technical Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts
, including overnight and weekend shifts
, with rotations occurring every 5 weeks
. Must be available for irregular and overtime hours assigned. - Basic understanding of electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution systems preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical utility switching devices and procedures preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or member-facing role, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and analytical understanding to effectively interpret system data, coordinate with field personnel, and support operational decisions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work irregular and/or overtime hours as needed.
