What You Will Do:Are you ready to make an impact in the world of electric utility engineering? Trico is seeking a Distribution Engineer II to bring technical expertise and innovative thinking to our team. This is your opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our distribution system while delivering exceptional service to our Members.
This position will provide advanced engineering analysis and technical support for the planning, design, and operation of the distribution system. Conduct comprehensive system studies, evaluate simulated and real-world operating conditions, and develop creative solutions for current and future challenges. Prepare detailed construction work plans, long-range system plans, and telecommunications system plans to align with industry standards and Cooperative goals. Lastly, collaborate across departments to maintain system reliability, optimize performance, and support strategic initiatives that enhance Member service.
WhatYou Bring to Trico:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electric utility engineering or distribution design.
- Comprehensive understanding of standards and regulations, including National Electric Safety Code (NESC), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and applicable federal, state, and local codes.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a combination of relevant experience totaling ten (10) years in electric utility engineering or distribution design will be considered.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of electric utility engineering principles, including distribution system design, substations, and maintenance standards.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for evaluating system performance and developing solutions.
