MHC Healthcare is seeking a Per‑Diem Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at the MHC Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. The role will support a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) with 16 sites in Tucson and Pima County.
The Pharmacist promotes and restores patients’ health by dispensing medications as prescribed, supervising daily pharmacy operations, contributing to long‑term planning, directing and developing staff, and providing physical and psychological support for patients.
Education & Experience- Pharmacy degree – Bachelor’s degree required, Pharm
D preferred. - Current Arizona State Registered Pharmacist (RPh) License – required.
- Immunization certification – preferred.
- Bilingual English–Spanish – preferred.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Experience as a Pharmacist in a clinical/hospital setting (preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Complete knowledge of state and federal regulations.
- Immunization certification (preferred).
- Establish rapport with patients by dispensing medications as ordered, educating on proper use, and answering questions.
- Answer telephone calls and assist patients professionally.
- Maintain pharmacy guidelines by updating policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and enforce pharmacy programs, operations, and personnel policies.
- Identify medication order or prescription processing problems, propose solutions, implement resolutions, and conduct follow‑up.
- Ensure quality of care by enforcing state board requirements and other governing agencies.
- Comply with federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Collect and collate data for auditing Controlled Substance Administration Records (CSAR) and identify deficiencies.
- Adhere to infection‑control policies, medication storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
- Manage supplies inventory by reviewing usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needs, and approving requisitions.
- Maintain clinic standards of care per Arizona Board of Pharmacy and other agencies.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
