Quality Assurance AuditorAt Ascent, we operate in a complex, multi‑authority environment — holding approvals from the FAA, EASA, TCCA, and other global regulators. You’ll help uphold the highest standards that keep our operations running smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, conduct, and document internal, external, and vendor audits per FAA, foreign air authority, C.A.S.E. 1A, and AS9100 standards, including NFPA 10 and NFPA 407.
- Identify and track findings, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and support effective Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) development.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal departments, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Perform daily surveillance, Vendor On‑Site (VOS), and Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) audits to ensure ongoing compliance and process health.
- Analyze audit data for trends, provide metrics, and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct supplier audits and verify subcontractor quality system compliance.
- Support investigations of product or process deficiencies and assist in developing robust corrective actions.
- Mentor and coach team members to build auditing, analytical, and quality system awareness across the organization.
- Regulatory bridge‑builders – fluent in FAA requirements and conversant with foreign air authority expectations.
- System thinkers – able to connect training, procedures, tools, and human factors into a single quality picture.
- Strong communicators – clear, factual, and constructive when presenting findings or feedback.

- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and quality system standards recognized by foreign air authorities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to clearly present findings and expectations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic data‑tracking tools.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including structured root cause and corrective action development.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in managing multiple audits and corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
- Professional, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in aviation or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance auditing experience in aviation maintenance, manufacturing, or another regulated quality environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
- Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
