Hourly Wage: $52.18-$54.83 (Hours worked beyond the normal schedule will be paid at 1.75 times the regular rate).

Are you ready to be part of a team that powers communities and drives innovation? At Trico Electric Cooperative, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Apparatus Technician. In this role you will maintain all components associated with the efficient operation of assigned substations and distribution system equipment, both energized and de-energized. This position is responsible for performing shop testing and disposal of transformers;

repair and testing of re-closers, pad mount switch gear, voltage regulators and capacitors.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Apprenticeship Program or a minimum of 5 years' work experience as a Journeyman with a trade school certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Prior experience in Electric Cooperative communications is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific knowledge (e.g., utility operations, electrical systems, renewable energy technologies).
• Familiarity with applicable OSHA safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
