Hourly Wage: $52.18-$54.83

Hours worked beyond the normal schedule will be paid at 1.75 times the regular rate. Trico has a partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 1116. This partnership aims to ensure fair wages and working conditions for all involved.

Are you ready to be part of a team that powers communities and drives innovation? At Trico Electric Cooperative, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Apparatus Technician. In this role you will maintain all components associated with the efficient operation of assigned substations and distribution system equipment, both energized and de‑energized. This position is responsible for performing shop testing and disposal of transformers;

repair and testing of re‑closers, pad‑mount switch gear, voltage regulators and capacitors.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Apprenticeship Program or a minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a Journeyman with a trade school certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Prior experience in Electric Cooperative communications is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of industry‑specific knowledge (e.g., utility operations, electrical systems, renewable energy technologies).
• Familiarity with applicable OSHA safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
