At Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park visitors can see American crocodiles, mangrove cuckoos, white-crowned pigeons, Schaus swallowtail butterflies, mahogany mistletoe, wild cotton, and 100 other rare critters and plants inhabit these 2,400 acres. The park is also a user-friendly place to explore the largest remaining stand of the vast West Indian tropical hardwood hammock and mangrove wetland that once covered most of the Keys’ upland areas.

From alligators to exotic snakes, a day at Everglades Alligator Farm is an exciting experience. Even though the farm is landscaped with shade trees, orchids, ponds and waterfalls, it is a working alligator farm with more than 2,000 gators. During a visit, you can watch an alligator show, and witness an alligator feeding.

The Fruit & Spice Park is a truly unique attraction, surrounded by lush greenery, flowers and nature’s beauty. The subtropical climate allows the park to grow more than 500 varieties of exotic fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs and nuts. The AMR Motorplex brings the thrills of go-kart racing to Miami and rents carts so everyone can experience them.

The Florida Pioneer Museum is filled with artifacts, books and photographs from those who settled in South Dade during the early 20th century. Its exhibits include tools used by pioneers during that time, photographs of local pioneering families, displays about Native Americans and more.
