The Marblehead Public Schools are currently seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Substitute Teacher, grades K-12 for the  academic year.

Hours are around 7:45am/8:00am to 2:15pm/2:30pm depending on grade level and school.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to pick up Substitute days as available. Simply sign up for the day via our online system. This position will report directly to the school principal(s) and or an appointed designee.

The substitute teacher is the temporary primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student achievement and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the substitute teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex. The substitute teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies.

* Flexibility with providing coverage in multiple classrooms throughout the school day as requested by building principal(s)

Must undergo CORI, fingerprinting prior to hire.

On call and temporary.

Salary: $110/per day

Must be able to abide by all MHPS policies and procedures

• • Must be able to assist in the protection of students and school property, assist the principal in fire and other emergency drills as required by law and School Committee policy
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. Must be able to walk and stand on tile flooring for up to 1-2 miles per day, lift up to 25 pounds
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
