General Management, Program / Project Manager
The Jewish Community Center of the North Shore located in Marblehead, MA is immediately seeking a COO/Director of Development. We are looking for a mature team member to join our dynamic group of professionals who are guided by the JCCNS’s mission. Candidate will work closely with the CEO, Marketing Director, and other department heads. Reports directly to the JCCNS CEO.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- All fundraising efforts of the agency including:
- Event sponsor ships
- Individual and corporate solicitations
- Chai Membership
- Annual Appeal
- Endowment Fund
- Inclusion program fundraising
- Grant seeking, writing, and management
- Completion and recognition of Capital Campaign donors
- Planning, execution, and sponsorship solicitation for fundraising events including:
- Development-related special events and fundraisers
- International Jewish Film Festival (JFF)
- Early Childhood Fundraiser
- Annual Golf Outing
- Jewish Book Month (JBM)
- Fitness fundraisers
- Other fundraising events as directed by CEO and Board
- Responsible for the planning and execution of two annual donor events
- Manage and present Development Department annual budget
- Input donations to fundraising software
- Reconcile Development records to general ledger on a monthly and annual basis
- Manage Golf and Development committees, including volunteer and lay leader representatives, agendas, regular meetings, etc. Assist in managing committees for JFF and JBM

- JAdventure
- Family Connectors
Direct Supervision/Management role for the following Departments
Minimum Qualifications:Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Donor cultivation and fundraising experience
- Event planning experience
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other department heads, lay leaders, volunteers and committee members
- Versed in CRM software systems, Microsoft Excel, Word
- Knowledgeable in financial budgets and forecasting
- Works well in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can-do attitude a must!
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience required
This position will require occasional evenings and weekends and qualifies for a benefits package as outlined in the JCCNS handbook. Salary range is $115-125K based on experience. Other duties, such as working with our neighbors on the Hill, Temple Sinai and EHS, may be required as needed.
