We are seeking dedicated Supply History Teachers to work across secondary schools in Bath, with a steady need for cover in Humanities subjects. While History specialists are especially encouraged to apply, we also welcome teachers from related disciplines who can deliver engaging, well structured lessons across a range of topics.

As a Supply History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop analytical thinking, historical understanding, and strong communication skills. You'll bring adaptability, enthusiasm, and secure subject knowledge into a variety of classroom settings. You will quickly establish effective routines, maintain a purposeful learning environment, and inspire students to explore the past with curiosity and confidence.

Your contribution will support the school's commitment to high quality teaching and a broad, ambitious Humanities curriculum.

• Teach well structured, engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Support students in developing historical enquiry skills, source analysis, and extended writing
• Follow school policies, schemes of work, and any provided lesson materials
• Maintain a positive, organised, and supportive classroom environment
• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning
• Provide additional support for students needing help with confidence, misconceptions, or behaviour
• Contribute positively to the school's inclusive, community centred ethos
• Promote a love of History and a deeper understanding of the world

• QTS or relevant secondary History/Humanities teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and clear communication skills
• Ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching
• Passion for History and inspiring young learners
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the school's values
• Experience in secondary settings preferred; ECTs are welcome
