About the Role

In this role, you’ll support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4, helping students stay engaged, organised, and confident in their individual subjects. A key part of your work will involve supporting the Behaviour Support Room, where you will guide students who may need time to settle, reflect, and prepare to rejoin lessons in a calm and focused way. This is an essential part of the school’s pastoral system, providing students with a structured space to reset and receive additional guidance.

You’ll also support students in continuing with their academic work during these times, helping them stay on track and maintain progress. This role suits someone who is calm, resilient, and committed to supporting both learning and behaviour with consistency and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across a wide range of KS3 and KS4 subjects
  • Help students stay focused, motivated, and progressing in their individual lessons
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support as needed
  • Assist within the Behaviour Support Room, helping students regulate and refocus
  • Promote positive behaviour, routine, and engagement
  • Assist teachers in preparing classroom resources and materials
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and student-centred school environment
  • Support both academic progress and broader personal development
What We’re Looking For
