Shift Engineer

March, Cambridgeshire

£47,000 + Overtime

Monday-Friday 3-Shift Pattern (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6)

Benefits

Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

Carry out PPM’s, reactive maintenance & continuous improvement projects
Industrial electrical fault finding & problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
Working on various production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & control systems
PLC – electrical fault finding
Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contractors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics

Qualifications

Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering – apprenticeship trained
PLC – electrical fault finding skills
Must have worked in fast-paced manufacturing previously
Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
Strong computer skills – using automated CMMS systems
Must be able to read & follow electrical & pneumatic schematics & drawings
Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed

Previously have worked on high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
