Maintenance Operative - Aria Court Care Home

As the Maintenance Operative at Aria Court Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and employees, working closely with teams to provide strong leadership and inspiration, ensuring the highest service standards are achieved.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring all maintenance checks are conducted and that the home is a safe environment for residents, team members and visitors whilst maintaining a high quality of service.

Competitive, depending on skills and experience.

40 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

• Ensure that all minor repairs and plumbing are fixed within a timely manner.
• Ensure that all electrical equipment, drainage systems and the boiler house are maintained and repaired if required.
• Ensure that the decoration of the home is to the highest standard and snagging items are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Overall responsibility for carrying out our weekly tests of the emergency systems within the home.

• Experience with in a similar maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare environment, is essential.
• Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of and competence in building maintenance.
• Good computer skills to complete reporting duties.
