Position Summary
The Senior Activities Coordinator supports YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not‑for‑profit organization committed to strengthening communities in Collier County through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The role oversees and delivers active older adult programs for the YMCA of Collier County.

EssentialFunctions
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate AOA (Active Older Adults) programs
- Achieve budget, reach, and volunteer engagement goals
- Manage and support AOA volunteers
- Submit required reports and complete assignments professionally and on time
- Create and maintain a monthly calendar of events
- Establish, implement, and maintain community partnerships
- Ensure all classes are staffed and substituted when necessary
- Ensure all sites have necessary supplies and equipment when applicable
- Facilitate the DAXKO online registration procedures, if applicable
- Plan special events:
Wellness Day, Demo Days, outings, celebrations, etc. - Participate in community partner site events
- Hire and supervise AOA instructors
- Attend staff meetings
- Exceed the service standards of the YMCA of Collier County for the Healthy Living Department:
- Meet and greet every member
- Learn and use members’ names
- Ask participants whether they are meeting goals and respond with appropriate referrals
- Provide exemplary service to all participants equally
- Uphold professional standards of conduct at all times:
- Behave professionally with staff and participants
- Adhere to the program dress code
- Report for work as assigned
- Be on time and attentive
- Comply with all policies and procedures of the YMCA of Collier County
- Maintain all required certifications
- Adhere to all risk management and safety protocols
- This position works at both YMCA of Collier County locations:
North Campus (Naples) and South Campus (Marco Island)
- College degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field
- Current CPR/FA/AED certifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in health education, wellness, or adult education
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Teaching, training, and public speaking experience preferred
- Bilingual candidate preferred
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
