Job Overview
Step Up Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care in a supportive, dynamic environment. This full‑time position is located in Marco Island, FL and offers a competitive compensation package with generous sign‑on and benefits.
Compensation & Sign‑On BonusCompetitive hourly rate: $28–$38 per hour, depending on experience.
Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500 for new full‑time team members (January 1–January 9 only).

- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and equipment under the direction of a physical therapist.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient‑centered care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
- Support patients’ emotional and psychological well‑being during rehabilitation.
- Graduated from an accredited two‑year PTA program.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida.
- Member of state or national American Physical Therapy associations (preferred).
- Strong administrative and public‑relations skills to build relationships with patients and staff.
- In‑depth knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment.
- Safety awareness: knowledge of potential hazards and safety precautions during treatment.
- Collaboration skills: ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Emotional intelligence: demonstrated emotional stability to manage the demands of patient care.
- Confidentiality: commitment to maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Medicare and third‑party reimbursement; experience with Net Health is a plus.
