About The Role
As a Sales Associate at Walker's Marine - Marco Island Used Boats (WMMU), you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of pre-owned marine vessels by providing exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge. Your primary objective will be to engage with prospective buyers, understand their boating needs, and guide them through the selection and purchasing process to ensure a seamless and satisfying experience.
You will collaborate closely with the sales team and management to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the dealership's reputation for integrity and professionalism. This role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining customer relationships, as well as staying informed about the marine industry and market trends. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the growth and success of WMMU by fostering customer loyalty and repeat business.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in the marine or automotive industry.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with sales and inventory management software.
- Experience specifically in boat sales or the marine industry.
- Knowledge of boating regulations, safety standards, and financing options.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to operate and demonstrate various types of boats.
- Additional certifications related to marine sales or customer service.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, identifying their needs and preferences related to used boats.
- Provide detailed information about available marine vessels, including specifications, features, and pricing.
- Conduct boat demonstrations and facilitate test drives to showcase product capabilities and benefits.
- Negotiate sales terms and prepare sales agreements in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory status using dealership management software.
- Collaborate with the service and finance departments to ensure a smooth transaction process for customers.
- Follow up with prospective and existing customers to nurture relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated on industry developments, competitor offerings, and new inventory arrivals to provide informed recommendations.
