Marine Technician

Marine Technicians at One Water Marine are responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercraft in an accurate and timely manner. As a marine technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition.

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades on a variety of boats in a timely, competent, and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as parts & service, to ensure all customer concerns are prioritized and addressed in an appropriate manner.
• Accurately document all service work performed, including parts used and labor hours, and provide customers with appropriate documentation of services performed on their boat.
• Ensure all boats are handled with care before, during, and after service has been performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety protocols when performing work to promote a safe working environment.
• Attend applicable service schools to maintain certification and fulfill continuous educational requirements; stay updated on trends, tools and technologies related to the work.
• Assist with special work events as needed, such as boat shows.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a marine technician or in a similar role preferred.
• Marine Technician certification(s) is a plus;
  Manufacturer certification (Boat or Engine) preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools and diagnostic equipment preferred.

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Operating a motor vehicle.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Hearing.
• Talking.
• Seeing.
• Eye/hand/foot coordination.
