Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Regal Rexnord. Responsible for supporting the development, production, and release of new products (platform or Customer Lead Opportunity - CLO) that meet performance, cost, and quality requirements. Oversees the Global Innovation Library with best practices for manufacturing Thomson products. Suited for someone passionate about continuous improvement.

• Responsible for operational readiness of new product releases.
• Deliver results aligned with the TG2 contract (product and project cost, launch OTD and quality metrics).
• Cell development for new products, including layout, design of assembly fixtures and processes.
• Support definition of CTQ’s for parts, assemblies, and processes.
• Coordinate CAPEX requirements and support CAR for new equipment purchases.
• Support FPQP process: producibility reviews and process capability studies with input into supplier selection.
• Develop best practices for manufacturability across Thomson product lines and document them in the Global Innovation Library (GIL).
• Position requires 5-10% travel.

• 4-year degree (BS) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing).
• 5 years’ required experience.
• Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management tools.
• Use of computer-aided design tools;
  Solid Works and PDM experience desirable.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
• Lean manufacturing tools (VSM, VRK, 5S, STD Work, 6 sigma).
• Proficiency in manufacturing processes (CNC machining, metal forming, heat treatment and assembly).
• Ability to solve complex problems.

• Physical Demands:
  Regular use of hands, reach with hands and arms, speak and hear; may stand, walk, and sit.
• Work Environment:
  Moderate noise level.
• Travel: 5-10% travel required.
• Export control:
  Restrictions may apply; U.S. Person status may be required.

Expected salary: $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Salary depends on location, experience, and other factors.
