Seasonal CDL Driver - Conserv FS - Marengo, IL

Conserv FS, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal CDL Driver to operate trucks for delivery and/or pickup of agronomy, energy or turf products, following scheduled routes to support profitable business growth.

• Operate assigned vehicles (single, tandem, or multi-axle), forklifts, etc., in accordance with safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
• Perform and record daily safety checks (pre-trip inspections), monitor fuel and oil, tires, lights, brakes; follow preventative maintenance program; maintain clean truck.
• Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials safely; ensure loads are balanced and comply with DOT regulations; check axle weights.
• Ensure deliveries/pickups meet time schedules and provide superior customer service and professionalism.
• Complete and return documentation (bills of ladings, delivery slips, invoices) promptly to ensure timely receiving and payment.
• Maintain required paperwork (logbooks, cargo records, etc.) daily.
• Maintain company equipment per standards, adhere to Uniform Policy, and present a professional image.
• Warehouse duties during slow times and other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years related experience operating tractor-trailer or tender truck equipment; knowledge of DOT standards.
• CDL license with required endorsements; valid medical card; clean driving record; ability to obtain/maintain other certifications as applicable.
• Strong business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call as needed.
• Occasional exposure to extreme weather, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards; may be required to work at varying heights; lift 51-70 lbs.

Salary range: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour. Actual compensation determined by experience, location, and other factors.
