About

Do you have a talent for organisation, communication, and keeping things moving? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Tenant and Leaseholder Services as a Responsive Repairs Coordinator.

We’re a dynamic, forward-thinking service committed to delivering excellent housing repairs and maintenance. As part of our team, you’ll play a central role in making sure our residents receive the timely, high-quality repairs service they deserve — while working alongside inspectors, contractors, and colleagues to keep everything running seamlessly.

Why this role matters

Behind every completed repair is someone whose home life has been made better. As a Responsive Repairs Coordinator, you’ll be the hub of our repairs service — making sure requests are logged accurately, issues are followed through, and contractors are supported to deliver on time and to standard. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will directly improve the service we provide to our tenants and leaseholders.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the responsive repairs team with essential administration, ensuring accurate records of all repair requests, complex issues, and maintenance at void properties.
  • Acting as the central link between inspectors, contractors, internal teams, and external partners to resolve repair requests quickly and effectively.
  • Coordinating the flow of information around the acquisition of new social housing stock, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Building positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and external services to make sure repairs are handled efficiently and professionally.
Why join us?

This is more than just a coordination role — it’s a chance to be part of a passionate team that genuinely cares about the difference it makes. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our service, and your ideas and commitment will help us get there. If you’re organised, proactive, and ready to take on a role where no two days are the same, this is the opportunity for you.

Our staff benefits package include
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working hours
  • Possibility of remote/hybrid working
  • Flexible annual leave and working arrangements
  • Local Government Pension Scheme membership
  • Reduced cost leisure membership, including Theatre tickets and sporting activities
  • An extensive Employee Wellbeing package

Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment checks.
