Salary: up to £60,000 per annum + bonus

Hours:

40 hours per week (Monday–Friday) with occasional weekend spot checks

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a high-performing, fully occupied elderly care home seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join their leadership team.

This is a fully supernumerary role, working closely with an established and commercially astute Home Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong operational performance, driving quality standards, and nurturing a developing team.

The home provides dementia, residential and respite care and operates at full occupancy, reflecting its strong local reputation and consistent performance.

This opportunity sits within a family-led provider with ambitious growth plans to expand further, offering genuine long-term progression opportunities.

• Proven experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting (essential)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop new teams
• Experience with in elderly residential and dementia services
• Clinical background desirable but not essential
• Must have previous care home leadership experience (no hospital-only backgrounds)
• Not suitable for candidates seeking a step-up into Deputy Manager

We are seeking a strong but nurturing leader — someone who can drive performance while maintaining a warm, values-led approach. The successful candidate will be organised, confident in managing compliance and audits, and passionate about delivering high-quality elderly care.

Two-stage process:

• Stage 1 – Informal interview with the Home Manager
• Stage 2 – Formal interview with Senior Leadership

The home is based near Margate area and it is easily commutable from Canterbury, Herne Bay, Deal, Sandwich, Wingham, Ramsgate, Westgate-on-Sea, Birchington-on-Sea, Minster (Thanet), St Nicholas-at-Wade and Cliffsend.
