About the Role

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday early mornings. Timings to be confirmed rtime on weekends and bank holidays also available.

Rate of Pay: Monday to Friday £12.71 per hour, Saturdays £13.77 per hour, Sundays £14.77 per hour, Bank holidays £19 per hour plus an extra day annual leave.

Purpose of the Role: To provide a high standard of cleaning within the Kent Police Buildings, including cleaning of office areas, toilets/showers, kitchen areas, and general cleaning of cells.

• Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules, including custody but not foul cells.
• Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by the line manager.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain confidentiality due to the nature of the work.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
• Follow safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
• Ensure the handover of any outstanding work.

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
• Excellent time management.
• Attention to detail and proactive.
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.

• Experience working within a team as well as independently – essential.
• Knowledge of COSHH.

• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends & bank holidays.
• Willingness to undertake any further appropriate training.
