Up to £50,000 per year Monday to Friday | Full-Time Company Van Provided We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter to join our team as a Field Service Engineer, covering Devon and Cornwall . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the road and has experience installing, maintaining and repairing machinery within manufacturing and food manufacturing environments .
The Role You will travel to customer sites across Devon and Cornwall, including food factories and manufacturing facilities , carrying out a range of mechanical engineering duties, including:
Installing and commissioning machinery and equipment Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs Planned and reactive maintenance Servicing and maintaining manufacturing machinery Working within food manufacturing environments Working directly with customers on site Ensuring machinery is operating safely and efficiently Food Safety Requirement As the role involves working inside food manufacturing facilities , candidates will need to hold a Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene Certificate .
Don't have one? No problem — full training will be provided. The course is approximately 3 hours and will be provided to ensure you are fully qualified to work safely within food production environments. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Field Service Engineer or similar Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing, production or food manufacturing environment Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
Experience with machinery installation and maintenance Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Own tools required Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel throughout Devon and Cornwall Level 2 Food Safety/Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to complete the training provided What's on Offer Salary up to £50,000 Monday to Friday – no weekend working Company van provided Food Safety Level 2 training provided if required Varied field-based role Travel across Devon & Cornwall Work with a range of manufacturing and food production machinery Long-term career opportunity with an established business If you're an experienced mechanical engineer looking for a Monday–Friday field-based role with a company van and a salary of up to £50,000 , we'd like to hear from you.
