Operating Department Practitioner

Salary: £33,043.73-£40,219.49 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications

Spencer Private Hospitals (SPH) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Operating Department Practitioner t o join our busy theatre team. Working within our independent healthcare setting, you will play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing a wide range of elective surgical procedures.

You will have the opportunity to work across a varied range of elective surgical procedures, gaining experience in both day-case and more complex surgery. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary theatre team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while continuing to develop your clinical skills and experience.

Full Time (37.5 Hours) - Part Time Hours will be considered. Hours are worked across a 7 day working rota. Please specify your preference on the application form.

We offer enhancements for Saturdays and any work between 8pm and 7.30am on weekdays at time +30% of your basic salary rate. For Sundays and Bank Holidays at time + 60% of your basic salary rate

Qualifications and Experience

Registered Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse

HCPC/NMC Registered

Ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care

Knowledge of research and evidence based practice

Catalyst for change

Knowledge of CQC

Ability work as a member of the team

Dealing with emergency situations within operating theatre department

Highly developed physical/clinical skills were accuracy is important
