Embedded Software Team Lead

In this role, you’ll lead embedded software development, taking ownership of firmware and microcontroller projects across the full product lifecycle. You’ll contribute to technical direction, product decisions, and provide guidance to the team. The position is based in Margate, with an office-based work environment.

The ideal candidate is an experienced embedded engineer with strong hands-on firmware development skills for microcontroller-based products, seeking to move into or expand a team leadership role. The role requires being on-site in Margate, 5 days a week, with half-days on Fridays.

The Role:

• Hands-on technical leadership of the embedded software team
• Design and develop embedded firmware for products
• Engage with stakeholders and mentor junior team members
• Work on-site in Margate, 5 days a week

The Person:

• Strong experience in embedded firmware development
• Experience with both bare-metal and RTOS development
• Good communication skills and team leadership experience
• Located within a commutable distance of Margate or willing to relocate
