Accounting Assistant (Bilingual Spanish/English)
Manay CPA Accounting & Tax Services provides a base pay range of $15.00/hr – $20.00/hr based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities- Support client onboarding for all assigned engagements in accordance with established firm processes.
- Engage with clients to provide high‑quality service and assist with retention initiatives.
- Organize, maintain, and update client financial records (digital and physical) accurately.
- Execute processes related to accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping entries, monthly close, and standard financial reporting and analysis; may also include payroll and special projects as assigned.
- Prepare depreciation schedules, sales journals, sales tax returns, review payroll records, and assist with employment tax returns.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure client satisfaction through timely communication, meeting deadlines, and providing accounting support.
- Assist in preparation of corporate and individual income tax returns as needed.
- Maintain client inventory records, perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, internal management reports, and ad‑hoc reports.
- Prepare and assist with year‑end audit schedules and support the audit process as required.
- Document, design, and test processes affecting financial statements or overall financial performance.
- Support systems and spreadsheet automation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounting functions.
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience; experience in a CPA firm is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with individual and business taxes preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero) and Excel.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
