Staff Accountant

One of our clients is looking to hire a Staff Accountant in Atlanta, GA.This is a contract role covering a team members upcoming leave, and theres real temp-to-perm potential for the right person. Youll own the cash side, keeping roughly 30 subsidiary bank accounts reconciled and pitching in on month end close where needed. The setup is hybrid: two weeks in the office for training, then two to three days onsite each week.

They want someone who can start right away, ideally before October close, so if youre strong in Excel and good at keeping a lot of moving pieces current, this ones worth a look.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile about 30 subsidiary operating accounts daily and weekly, mostly in Excel
• Record journal entries for wires and online payments
• Initiate bank transfers for the Treasurer and work with AR and AP on entries that run through their teams
• Support month end close and cross-cover with the teams other contractor

Qualifications:

• 3 to 10 years of accounting experience, with solid cash accounting plus a broader GL and accrual background
• Strong Excel skills, which this role leans on heavily
• Organized and disciplined enough to keep a high volume of accounts current; multi-entity experience is a plus
• Available to start immediately;
  Traverse ERP or Excel/Power BI automation experience is a bonus
