The McGee Group is looking for a talented Product Development Coordinator at our Marietta, GA company headquarters. We specialize in the design and distribution of eyewear, sunglasses, reading glasses, and cases.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Support the Designer and Product Manager on licensed brand approval process for both optical and retail channels.
- Organization of color CADs, artwork files, and prototypes seasonally for multiple brands.
- Create and manage active SKU boards and line lists throughout the product life cycle, including basic sample photography and Licensor sample submissions.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date internal library of all samples for multiple brands and various departments.
- Support Designer on product development/management through creating spec sheets and working with overseas vendors on bringing products to market on select optical brands.
- Assist Product Development team in creation of presentations for internal and external approval meetings with licensors, sales meetings or focus groups.
- Maintain and organize an internal library of design materials specified by the designers.
- Assist with market research when needed to support design presentations/story boards.
- Execution of communications to factories pertaining to new product details, samples, new product ordering and quality control/assessment.
- Work closely with Purchasing Dept on the initial ordering of new products.
- Domestic and International shipping of sample frames
- Audit website for accuracy; indicate any changes needed regarding product information
Qualified Candidates will have the following:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or 1–2 years of work experience in a product related field.
- Outstanding organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in MS Office with experience in Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.
- Must be a self‑starter who works well with a minimal amount of supervision.
