Assistant Professor of Textiles – Kennesaw State University

We are seeking a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Textiles for our School of Art and Design, with a preferred start date in August 2026. This position is a nine‑month contract and will be performed in Georgia.

• Teach undergraduate courses in the Textiles and Surface Design program.
• Engage in service, scholarship, and research activities required of tenure‑track faculty.
• Develop and maintain curricular materials, including the use of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Participate actively in the academic mission of the School, including faculty meetings, committees, and outreach.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students across the program.

• Terminal degree (or foreign equivalent) in Textiles or a related discipline, qualified for hire at the time of appointment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and active scholarly engagement.

• Experience in teaching textiles, fiber, yarn, and textile materials at the university level.
• Industry experience with textile design, production, or related technology.
• Experience with sewing, textile design software, and online teaching platforms.
• Business knowledge in fashion forecasting, trends, and trends analysis.
• Demonstrated record of professional accomplishment in the field.
